Foster Care

We offer a full range of foster care services for children removed from their homes. Our Foster Care Program provides a safe and nurturing substitute family until the child is either returned to their parents/guardian or is placed in an alternative placement home. To meet the needs of those foster parents interested in adopting a child, Catholic Charities offers adoption services as well.

We provide save homes for children whose parents have had their parental rights terminated by the State of Michigan. Our qualified and experienced staff educate, inform, and successfully place children into loving and stable homes. In addition, we offer pre-adoption education, home studies, and post-adoption counseling.

Adoption through foster care

Lenawee County Adoption Story

On National Adoption Day, November 26th, Catholic Charities was proud to have finalized adoptions in Monroe, Lenawee, and Jackson County Family Courts.  A very special one of our adoptions this day was finalized at the Michigan Supreme Court in Lansing by Lenawee Co. Probate Court Judge Iddings and attended by one of our foster parents, Dawn Benz.
